FSWeekend 2011

Simworld
They offer a complete range of B737 plates and metal frames for the FWD Overhead, AFT Overhead, AFT Electronic, and Front Panels. The panels are solid manufactured and of a good quality. The price tags on their products are located in the midrange price segment.

Opencockpits

Unfortunately there was no representative from Opencockpits present at the show. Instead AViOSim was managing their booth. The standard product portfolio of interface boards, radio modules, and a complete FWD Overhead was demonstrated. New products were not shown. I'm afraid about Opencockpits, because obviously they do not invest in new development and so they might lose the connection to the growing market and competitive products of other companies. The advantage of Opencockpits is for sure the SIOC scripting language, but plug&play solutions and other easy to configure products are already on the market available or will be launched soon. This will dramatically reduce the importance of SIOC as unique feature.

SC ROUTECH SRL
Dieter Jakop had his standard components on display. He focuses with his product line on yokes for different aircrafts, aircraft joysticks, trimm wheels, and steering tiller. I had the chance to test the B737 steering tiller while visiting his booth. Compared to products of other companies or DIY solutions this steering tiller is by far the best I ever had in my hand. All seen products of SC ROUTECH are excellent in quality and design.
